Family Drama for the Holidays! August: Osage County Film Shifts Release Date
'August: Osage County' pushed back its release date to December 25.

Santa’s running things now! The highly anticipated film adaptation of Tracy Letts’ Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play August: Osage County will now hit movie theaters Christmas Day, according to The Wrap. The star-studded family drama, directed by The West Wing’s John Wells, was initially scheduled to be released on November 8.

August: Osage County follows the dysfunctional Weston family as they all gather at their Oklahoma home after the disappearance of their patriarch. The movie stars Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Chris Cooper, Abigail Breslin, Benedict Cumberbatch, Juliette Lewis, Julianne Nicholson, Sam Shepard, Dermot Mulroney and Margo Martindale.
