Remy Auberjonois to Join Cast of Broadway's The Assembled Parties, Starring Judith Light & Jessica Hecht

Remy Auberjonois will step into the role of Jeff in Richard Greenberg's Tony-nominated play The Assembled Parties beginning July 9. He replaces current star Jeremy Shamos, who will play his final performamce on July 7. Directed by Lynne Meadow, the play will end its limited engagement at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on July 28. Starring two-time Tony Award winner Judith Light and Jessica Hecht, The Assembled Parties opened on April 17.

Set in 1980, The Assembled Parties tells the story of the Bascovs, a Jewish family living in a Central Park West apartment. Former movie star Julie Bascov (Hecht) and her sister-in-law Faye (Light) bring their families together for a holiday meal. But when a new houseguest wheedles himself into the family drama, the Boscovs’ picture-perfect life is thrown off balance.

Auberjonois has appeared on Broadway in The Country Girl and Frost/Nixon, and in off-Broadway productions at Atlantic Theater, the Public, Primary Stages, Studio Dante, Rattlestick and Soho Rep.



The Assembled Parties also features Mark Blum, Jonathan Walker, Lauren Blumenfeld, Alex Dreier and Jake Silbermann.
