Broadway can’t stop buzzing about the Public Theater’s 2013 Shakespeare in the Park season. After a fabulous staging of The Comedy of Errors starring Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Hamish Linklater, the second offering of the Central Park summer series is an equally joyous musical adaptation of the Bard’s Love’s Labour’s Lost, starring stage favorites like Daniel Breaker, Colin Donnell, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Patti Murin and Bryce Pinkham. Directed by and featuring an adapted book by Alex Timbers, this new musical is tearing up the Delacorte Theatre as it tells the “contemporary yet lovingly faithful” tale of a group of royal men who swear off the joys of women—until four girls from their past show up who force them to reconsider their nonsense. Check out these stunning Joan Marcus photos from the free production, which opens on August 12 and runs through August 18!
