The sounds of the ’70s are headed to St. Luke’s Theatre with the off-Broadway premiere of Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick’s Disaster! Subtitled “a 1970s disaster movie musical,” the show has attracted an A-list cast including Mary Testa, John Treacy Egan, Jennifer Simard and Rudetsky himself. A wacky disaster movie plot involving a circa-1979 floating disco gives us an excuse to hear “Alone Again Naturally,” “I Am Woman” and, of course, “Hot Stuff.” On October 10, the company previewed the show for the stage press at Nola Rehearsal Studios, and Broadway.com was on hand to share in the fun.
