When Broadway actors don’t have a Wednesday matinee, you might just spy them in the audience somewhere close by—and that was the case on October 30, when Zachary Levi and Krysta Rodriguez of First Date headed to Kazino, the custom venue on 45th Street, to take in an afternoon performance of Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. This musical adaptation of Tolstoy’s War and Peace is now hosting Russian High Tea (rather than vodka and caviar) during its matinees, and after partaking of pastries and savoring the drama of Natasha, Pierre, Levi, Rodriguez and castmates Kate Loprest, Sydney Shepherd and Kristoffer Cusick said hello to title stars Phillipa Soo, David Abeles and the rest of the Comet crew.
