There’s No Place Like Fun Home! New Musical, Starring Michael Cerveris & Judy Kuhn, Extends Again

There’s no shortage of guests at Fun Home, so the new musical by Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron has decided to stick around the Newman Theater a little longer! Previously extended through December 15, the acclaimed Public Theater production will now play through December 29. Directed by Sam Gold, Fun Home stars Tony winner Michael Cerveris and Tony nominee Judy Kuhn.

Based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, Fun Home charts one girl’s quest to come to terms with her father’s unexpected death. As she moves between past and present, Alison delves into the story of her volatile, brilliant father and relives her unique childhood at her family’s funeral home. In addition to Kuhn and Cerveris, the cast of Fun Home features Alexandra Socha, Griffin Birney, Roberta Colindrez, Noah Hinsdale, Sydney Lucas, Beth Malone and Joel Perez.

The Fun Home creative team includes costume designer David Zinn, lighting designer Ben Stanton, sound designer Kai Harada, projection designers Jim Findlay and Jeff Sugg and wig designer Paul Huntley. The production features music direction by Chris Fenwick and choreography by Danny Mefford.
