Meryl Streep in 'August Osage County'
'August: Osage County' will be released in theaters on Christmas Day.
The big-screen premiere of August: Osage County is just over a month away, and we can’t wait to see Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts and an all-star cast bare their claws in Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning drama about the dysfunctional Weston clan. As fans of the play know, there’s a doozy of a dinner scene, and in this newly released clip, young Jean Fordham (Abigail Breslin) gives a memorable explanation for being a vegetarian: “When you eat meat, you ingest an animal’s fear.” Click below to find out what her great uncle Charles (Chris Cooper) and grandma Violet (Streep) have to say about that! After enjoying your own holiday dinner, you can head out to see August: Osage County on Christmas Day.
