Odds & Ends: The Diva Departs Dad, Jeremy Jordan Flies Solo & Kevin Spacey Takes on Churchill
Krysta Rodriguez
'Smash' stars Krysta Rodriguez and Jeremy Jordan's latest news.

Here's a quick roundup of stories you may have missed today.

Krysta Rodriguez Departs How I Met Your Dad
Krysta Rodriguez, who played a dissed Broadway diva on NBC's Smash, is no longer to appear in the pilot for CBS’ spin-off sitcom How I Met Your Dad. According to Deadline, the character the Audience Choice award winner was supposed to play has undergone changes since the table read. Hopefully this means that the First Date favorite will be heading back to the Great White Way sooner rather than later!

Jeremy Jordan to Make Solo Cabaret Debut
Fellow Smash alum Jeremy Jordan is to make his solo cabaret debut in San Francisco. The Tony nominee will play four performances at Feinstein’s at the Nikko in May.

Kevin Spacey Takes on Churchill
Tony and Oscar winner Kevin Spacey is set to play Winston Churchill in Captain of the Gate. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie, written by Ben Kaplan, will follow the legendary Prime Minister’s rise to power as he made his stand against Hitler. Before then though, Spacey's got some magic to do onstage—he's to shortly star in Clarence Darrow at The Old Vic.

Stage and Screen Star Juliet Stevenson's Happy Days
Olivier winner Juliet Stevenson is to reprise the role of Winnie in Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days at London’s Young Vic. Directed by Natalie Abraham, the play will run February 13 through March 21.
