Jeremy Jordan & Laura Michelle Kelly
'Finding Neverland' will begin performances on July 23.

The previously announced Finding Neverland revamp will fly into Cambridge, Massachusetts with a starry cast. Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan will play J.M. Barrie in the American Repertory Theater production, a role played by Glee's Matthew Morrison in a workshop in March. Jordan will star opposite Broadway and West End vet Laura Michelle Kelly, who will play Sylvia Llewelyn Davis. Joining them are Tony winner Roger Bart as Charles Frohman and Tony nominee Carolee Carmello as Madame du Maurier. Tony winning A.R.T. artistic director Diane Paulus helms the tuner that features music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy and a book by James Graham. The production will run from July 23 through September 28 at the Loeb Drama Center.

Based on the Miramax film written by David Magee, Finding Neverland follows the story of Barrie (Jordan) and his relationship with the family of widow Sylvia Llewelyn Davies (Kelly). Llewelyn Davies' children eventually became Barrie's inspiration to write Peter Pan. The tuner explores the power of imagination and the pressure that comes with the prospect of growing up. The Harvey Weinstein produced musical overhauled its creative team in 2013, bringing on board Paulus, Barlow and Graham.

Jordan received a Tony nod for his performance as Jack Kelly in Newsies, and has also appeared on stage in Bonnie and Clyde, Rock of Ages and West Side Story and on screen in Smash. Kelly took home an Olivier Award for the title role in the West End production of Mary Poppins, and has also appeared on the London stage in Speed the Plow, Les Miserables and Peter Pan. Her Broadway credits include Mary Poppins and Fiddler on the Roof. Bart received a Tony for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and was nominated for The Producers; his additional stage credits include Young Frankenstein and The Frogs. Carmello most recently appeared on Broadway in Scandalous, for which she received her third Tony nomination (the previous two were for Parade and Lestat).

Finding Neverland will also feature Jeanna de Waal (who is currently starring in Kinky Boots) as Mary Barrie, Aidan Gemme as Peter, Alex Dreier as Michael, Sawyer Nunes as George and Hayden Signoretti as Jack.

The ensemble includes Courtney Balan, Dana Costello, Rory Donovan, Gaelen Gilliand, Thayne Jasperson, Josh Lamon, Melanie Moore, Mary Page Nance, Stuart Neal, Emma Pfaeffle, Jonathan Ritter, Tyler Ross, Julius Rubio, JC Schuster, Paul Slade Smith and Ron Todorowski. The production will feature choreography by Mia Michaels, scenic design by Scott Pask, costumes by Suttirat Anne Larlarb, lighting by Phillip Rosenberg, sound design by Jonathan Deans and projections by Gilles Papain.
