There’s an exciting lineup to look forward to at Broadway at Birdland this season. On September 15 Jessie Mueller, Chita Rivera (who will also return to the venue later in the year), Rosie O’Donnell, Andrew Lippa, Margo Siebert, Anika Larsen and more will join forces for An Evening of Song, benefiting the Art Attack Foundation. Other highlights include Jamie DeRoy teaming up with Great White favorites Stephanie J. Block and Bryce Pinkham, among others, on September 22 for an Actors Fund benefit. RSC Announces 2015 Summer Season
The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced its 2015 summer season. Highlights include Broadway vet Antony Sher in Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre March 26, 2015 through May 2. Also, legendary director Trevor Nunn will helm Henry Goodman in Volpone by Ben Jonson at the Swan Theatre, July 3, 2015 through September 12. Benedict Cumberbatch is not the only reason to start booking flights across the Pond next year!
First Look at Ethan Hawke Starring Opposite Fifty Shades' Dakota Johnson in Cymbeline
Broadway alum Ethan Hawke is going back to Shakespeare in the recently unveiled first trailer for Cymbeline, below. Also starring Tony nominee Delroy Lindo, Ed Harris, Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley and Fifty Shades of Grey’s Dakota Johnson, it would seem that director Michael Almereyda has somewhat channeled Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet in this adaptation.
