Chris Pine, who will soon be seen in Disney’s screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods, is claiming that he hasn’t a huge amount of singing experience. "In high school, I once sang 'Let's Get It On' and 'Brown Sugar' with a band that included my English teacher and my math teacher," the Star Trek star told the L.A. Times. We think Fine Pine’s just being modest and are absolutely confident that his crooning as Prince Charming will have us swooning when the movie hits theaters on Christmas Day.
Tony Nominee Lauren Ward Tapped for Bat Boy
Tony nominee Lauren Ward (Matilda) and Matthew White (Ragtime) will play Meredith Parker and Dr. Parker, respectively, in a new U.K. production of Bat Boy: The Musical. The quirky story with a bite has a book by Keythe Farley and Brian Flemming, with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe. Directed by Luke Fredericks, the tuner will play a limited engagement at The Large at Southwark Playhouse from January 9, 2015 through January 31. Opening night is set for January 14.

Brian Williams isn’t nervous about his daughter Allison’s upcoming star turn in Peter Pan Live!. The NBC Nightly News anchor told host David Letterman on The Late Show: “I have listened to those damn songs since she was three-years-old…Whether some network was going to invite her to do it on television, immaterial.
