The 2015 Tony Awards came and went, which means we’re officially in the 2015-16 Broadway season. An Act of God, now open at Studio 54, marks the first show of the next bunch, but while you wait for additional plays and musicals to join it, head downstairs to 54 Below, where these acts and more are serving up an eclectic mix of tale and tunes. Take a look below at just some of the sets that caught our eye!
MICHELE LEE
"Nobody Does It Like Me" - 6/11-13 at 7PM
The Tony and Emmy nominee returns for a show filled with the music of Cy Coleman. Lee earned her first Tony nod for Coleman’s 1973 tuner Seesaw; Lee will now dazzle crowds with the show’s “Nobody Does It Like Me” and “It’s Not Where You Start.” Audiences can also expect hits from Sweet Charity, City of Angels and more. JON VIKTOR CORPUZ
"Confessions of a Teenage Drama King" - 6/15 at 7PM
He may play a prince in The King and I, but he’ll be positively regal at his 54 Below solo show debut. Bow down as he and a host of special guests serve up some pop favorites, twists on Broadway tunes and coming-of-age tales. “Get your tickets already, dangit!” says the 18-year-old prince of Broadway (no, not that one). LAUREN WORSHAM
"Corsets & Combat Boots" - 6/24 at 9:30PM
In her Tony-nominated performance in Gentleman’s Guide, she delighted us with her high notes as kooky Phoebe. But when the curtain comes down, the soprano goes indie. Worsham will deliver everything from opera to pop rock. We figure it'll feature the titular corsets and/or combat boots. But we won’t speak/screlt for her. GET TICKETS
MICKY DOLENZ
"A Little Bit Broadway, A Little Bit Rock 'n' Roll" - 7/7, 10 & 11 at 7PM
The original frontrunner of The Monkees heads to Broadway’s supper club after having previously appeared on the Great White Way in Grease and Aida. He combines his love for show tunes and that classic rock sound in a new concert. So come and watch him sing and play! GET TICKETS
EMMA HUNTON
7/7 & 28 at 9:30PM
After feeling the blue wind on Broadway in Spring Awakening, this young beltress hit the road in the national tours of Next to Normal as Natalie and Wicked as Elphaba. Now, she returns to New York to chart her journey in Los Angeles and on the road. We suspect belting enthusiasts will be more than satisfied. GET TICKETS
