You may not be able to fly to the moon…but you can fly to London! More details have been revealed about the previously reported Sinatra The Man & His Music at the London Palladium. Directed by David Gilmore, the official celebration of Frank Sinatra’s centenary will open on July 10, marking 65 years to the day since Sinatra’s first ever performance in the U.K. at the Palladium back in 1950. The production will play a limited three-month engagement.
The high-tech show features 3D, rotoscoped imagery, rare and never before seen footage from the family’s archives and original masters of Frank Sinatra’s voice. Sinatra The Man & His Music will feature 20 dancers and a 24-piece orchestra.
Sinatra The Man & His Music’s creative team will include set design by Ray Winkler, video and projection design by Leo Warner, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, musical supervision by Glenn Wilkinson and choreography by Jacquie Biggs and Gareth Valentine.
