Normally it's Aladdin who lets the genie out of the lamp, but on July 7 it was the First Lady! Michelle Obama tweeted the news that the cast of hit Broadway musical Aladdin will be performing at the White House's Kids' State Dinner this Friday. We're sure that Adam Jacobs, Courtney Reed, Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart and everyone present will have a shining, shimmering, splendid evening!

Ryan Andes Joins The Wild Party for Encores! Off-Center
Ryan Andes, who made his Broadway debut in 2013’s Big Fish, has joined the cast of Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party for Encores! Off-Center series. He steps in for the previously reported John Ellison Conlee in the role of Eddie. The production, set for July 15 through 18 at New York City Center, will star two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, Steven Pasquale, Brandon Victor Dixon and Miriam Shor.

Debargo Sanyal & Josh Hamilton Set for WTF
Debargo Sanyal (Nurse Jackie) and Josh Hamilton (Proof) have been tapped for Mike Bartlett’s An Intervention at Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer. The pair join the previously reported Justin Long and Betty Gilpin in the dual casting.

Taye Diggs on Hedwig, Heels & His Booty
Incoming Hedwig and the Angry Inch headliner Taye Diggs recently stopped by Live! With Kelly & Michael to chat about the rehearsal process for taking over for Darren Criss. "My booty looks nice," Diggs said about wearing the internationally ignored song stylist's heels, "but I don't get it!" He also revealed: "I will be amazing, but I'm petrified!"
