The Bottoms inched closer to the top last week, as Something Rotten! surpassed the $1 million mark for the first time in seven weeks. The show faced a slight dip in capacity in July, but has maintained its footing through the summer and start of fall. Meanwhile, while most new shows did not come out of the gate with chart-topping figures, a few made box office debuts with numbers worth calling out: On Your Feet! hit $970,013 with seven preview performances, and Allegiance played its first full week just shy of 90% capacity. We’ll continue to keep an eye on these shows and more, including King Charles III, Thérèse Raquin and Sylvia, as they approach their respective opening nights.
