Casting is now complete for the upcoming New York premiere of Our Mother’s Brief Affair, starring the previously announced Tony winner Linda Lavin. Directed by Lynne Meadow, performances will begin on December 28 at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Opening night is set for January 20, 2016.
Joining Lavin will be Kate Arrington (Grace, The Qualms) as Abby, Greg Keller (Of Good Stock, Belleville) as Seth and John Procaccino (An Enemy of the People, Incident at Vichy) as Lover/Dad.
Written by Richard Greenberg, Our Mother’s Brief Affair follows Anna (Lavin), who, while on the verge of death (again), confesses to her grown children about an affair from her past. Anna fights for her legacy as her family attempts to distinguish fact from fiction.
The production will feature scenic design by Santo Loquasto, costume design by Tom Broecker, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski and sound design by Fitz Patton.
