Thighs Up! Off-Broadway Hamilton Spoof Spamilton Will Release a Cast Recording

The Hamilton Mixtape may have been number one on the charts, but it’s no Spamilton. The off-Broadway parody of the musical phenomenon Hamilton has recorded a cast album, which will be released on DRG Records in March 2017.

The show, by Forbidden Broadway creator Gerard Alessandini, celebrates and roasts Lin-Manuel Miranda’s blockbuster, as well as several pop culture luminaries, including Beyoncé, Barbra Streisand and Liza Minnelli.

The recording will feature original Spamilton cast members Dan Rosales, Nicholas Edwards, Juwan Crawley, Chris Anthony Giles and Nora Schell, along with special guests Glenn Bassett and Forbidden Broadway alum Christine Pedi.

In addition to Rosales, Edwards, Giles, and Schell, the current cast of Spamilton features Larry Owens.
