After over two weeks of voting, Broadway.com has determined the winners of this year's awards. Theater fans around the world cast over 120,000 votes, making the winners the true peoples' choices of the season. The race for the Tonys is still on, but Broadway.com users have their winners: Urinetown which received three awards won the Favorite Musical category and Metamorphoses is the Favorite Play. Don't forget about Thoroughly Modern Millie, though. The tuner picked up four nods.
The Broadway.com Audience Awards have created several categories that make them unique. Raul Esparza made the grade in two categories: Favorite Replacement and Favorite Breakthrough Performance. Carolee Carmello and Sutton Foster were his female counterparts in those categories. The incomparable Elaine Stritch won the Favorite Solo Performance category and also proved to be everybody's Favorite Diva.
