Understudy Ann Sanders will play the role of Christmas Eve in Avenue Q while original star Ann Harada is on maternity leave. Harada is expected to depart the production in mid-October and return in approximately three months.
Sanders currently serves as the understudy for Christmas Eve, Mrs. T. and Bear. She also appeared on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast. Her other theatrical credits include productions of Miss Saigon, Man of La Mancha, Carousel and The King and I.
