About the Show

Lennon is delaying its Broadway opening by 10 days. The show, which began New York previews on July 7 after a San Francisco tryout, will now officially premiere at the Broadhurst Theatre on August 14.

"We have delayed the opening of Lennon to allow [writer and director] Don Scardino and our creative team the opportunity to make adjustments to the show," producer Allan McKeown said in a statement. "We've moved the opening to the following week in order to make fundamental changes to the opening and closing scenes of the show, including adding an additional song from the John Lennon catalogue."

Lennon tells the story of the man behind the greatest rock legacy and boldest love story of our time--through his own music. The tuner features nine actors and ten musicians performing songs from the Lennon catalog, including "Imagine," "Instant Karma," "Give Peace a Chance," "Just Like Starting Over" and "Whatever Gets You Through the Night."

The cast of Lennon consists of Will Chase, Chuck Cooper, Julie Danao-Salkin, Mandy Gonzalez, Marcy Harriell, Chad Kimball, Terrence Mann, Julia Murney, and Michael Potts.
