Guardians, which won the Fringe First Award at the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, is a two character monologue play. It's a fictional account inspired by the true stories of the Abu Ghraib/Lynndie England affair and the resignation of the editor of the British paper The Daily Mirror for publishing fake torture pictures. Both of these stories have become front-page Iraq War news and have led to the questions about torture and accountability.
Pace was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in Soldier's Girl. His film credits include The Good Shepherd, The Fall, Infamous and The White Countess. His TV credits are Wonderfalls and Law & Order: SVU. He has been seen onstage in productions of The Credeaux Canvas, The Fourth Sister and Small Tragedy.
Guardians will officially open at The Culture Project 45 Bleecker Street on April 11 and is scheduled to run through May 25.
