About the Show

Ron Livingston and Jason Patric are set to star in Neil LaBute's new play, In a Dark Dark House, presented by MCC Theater from May 16 to June 23 at the Lucille Lortel Theater. The show will open on June 7 and will be directed by Carolyn Cantor currently represented off-Broadway by Adam Rapp's Essential Self-Defense. The announcement of a third cast member is forthcoming.

LaBute's latest play is described as a drama about a man and his complicated relationship with his complicated father. MCC has previously produced his plays Some Girls and Fat Pig and the prolific playwright was recently represented at the Public Theater by Wrecks, for which he just earned a Lucille Lortel nomination.

Livingston's TV and film credits include Fox's Standoff, Holly, Relative Strangers, The Life Coach, Little Black Book, Sex and the City, The Cooler and Office Space.

Patric made his Broadway debut in 2003 in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and is recognizable for film roles in The Lost Boys, Sleepers, Rush and LaBute's Your Friends and Neighbors.

The production is rounded out by a creative team includes set design by Beowulf Boritt, costumes by Jenny Mannis, lighting design by Ben Stanton, and sound and original music by Rob Kaplowitz.
