Zac Efron in High School Musical 3
The big screen release High School Musical 3: Senior Year remained at the top of the box office charts for the second weekend, pulling in just over $15 million from October 31-November 2, according to Variety. The G-rated tuner has a two-week total of more than $61 million in America alone, with a worldwide box office total of $85 million.

Starring Zac Efron Troy, Vanessa Hudgens Gabriella, Corbin Bleu Chad, Ashley Tisdale Sharpay, Lucas Grabeel Ryan and Monique Coleman Taylor, High School Musical 3 is directed and choreographed by Kenny Ortega. The film, which centers on the end of senior year and decisions about college, includes numerous production numbers featuring the six principals, who created their roles in two hugely popular made-for-TV movies, backed by a large cast of young dancers. One subplot involves admission to the Juilliard School on the basis of a school musical.

High School Musical 3 includes 14 new songs composed by David Lawrence and a screenplay by Peter Barsocchini, who has signed on to pen a rewrite of Footloose to star Efron.
