Off-Broadway actor Nick Spangler and his sister Starr will split the $1 million top prize as winners of the latest edition of TV’s The Amazing Race. The Spangler siblings were revealed as the show’s newest champs on the December 7 finale episode. Spangler will be back in the off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks, in which he plays romantic lead Matt, on December 10 at the Snapple Theatre Center.

Taped in the spring, The Amazing Race took the Spanglers on a trek around the world, including events in Bolivia, Cambodia, India, Russia and Kazakhstan. From the beginning, Nick, 23, and his ex-cheerleader sister Starr, 22, were among the top teams in the competition.

Spangler began his run in The Fantasticks as the Mute and moved up to play Matt alongside Margaret Anne Florence as Luisa, Lewis Cleale as El Gallo, Gene Jones as Hucklebee, Jordan Nichols as the Mute, Michael Nostrand as Mortimer, Steve Routman and Bellomy and John Thomas Waite as Henry.
