Betsy Morgan
Betsy Morgan will join the cast of The Fantasticks as Luisa on December 22, replacing Margaret Anne Florence, who will play her final performance on December 17. The hit musical is continuing its run at the Snapple Theatre Center, directed by its librettist, Tom Jones.

Morgan recently played Clara in The Light in the Piazza at Salt Lake City’s Pioneer Theatre Company after understudying the role of Ariel in Broadway’s The Little Mermaid. Her many workshop credits include High Fidelity, The Addams Family with Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth, Little House on the Prairie, Leap of Faith, Memphis and Bernarda Alba.

The Fantasticks is a captivating and simple romantic comedy about a boy and girl who fall in and out of love at the hands of their meddling fathers. The audience uses its imagination to follow the narrator, El Gallo, as he creates a world of moonlight and magic until the boy and girl find their way back to one other. The score includes the hit songs “Try To Remember,” “They Were You” and “Soon It’s Gonna Rain.”

Morgan joins a company that includes Lewis Cleale Spamalot, Amour, Once Upon a Mattress, Amazing Race winner Nick Spangler, No Country for Old Men’s Gene Jones, John Thomas Waite Amadeus, Tom Flagg The Will Rogers Follies, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Oklahoma, Richard Roland The Scarlet Pimpernel, Follies, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Steve Routman The Conscientious Objector Michael Nostrand, A&E’s Peter Pan Jordan Nichols and Evy Ortiz.
