Cynthia Nixon & Josh Stamberg in Distracted
Roundabout Theatre Company has announced a one-week extension of the New York premiere production of Lisa Loomer's Distracted, starring Cynthia Nixon. The play began previews on February 7 at the Laura Pels Theatre and will officially open March 4. The limited engagement will now continue through May 10, directed by Mark Brokaw.
In addition to Nixon, the cast of Distracted features Peter Benson, Shana Dowdeswell, Lisa Emery, Natalie Gold, Matthew Gumley, Mimi Lieber, Aleta Mitchell and Josh Stamberg.
Described as a fast-paced and disarmingly funny look at parenting in the age of the Internet and Ritalin, Distracted centers on a contemporary American mom who reaches out to teachers, psychotherapists, and neighbors to figure out if Attention Deficit Disorder is the root of her son’s problems.
