The mega-stars of stage and screen aren't just landing on Broadway these days. You can also find them over the river (and through the subway tunnels) in Brooklyn, where Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett is currently starring in the Australian transfer of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire. The production, which played the Sydney Theatre in September 2009 before making its way across the globe to our neck of the woods, is currently running at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, co-starring Robin McLeary and Joel Edgerton. On December 3, a starry line of red carpet veterans, including Anne Hathaway, Alan Cumming, Joan Osbourne and Charlotte Rampling, made their way to BAM'S Belle Reve Gala for some next-level dinner theater, taking in a meal and drinks before seeing the show and heading for a dessert reception with the cast after the performance. Director Liv Ullmann was on hand to congratulate her show's stars and mingle with their big-name fans. Click here for some seriously glam photos that would make even Blanche DuBois swoon.
