Barrett and Crivello to Play Lead in Las Vegas Mounting of Phantom

Brent Barrett and Anthony Crivello will alternate performances as the title character in the 95-minute Las Vegas mounting of The Phantom of the Opera known there as Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular. The roles of Christine and Carlotta have also been double-cast with both Sierra Boggess and Elizabeth Loyacano playing Christine and Elena Jeanne Batman and Geena Jeffries taking on Carlotta. Current Broadway cast member Tim Martin Gleason is set play Raoul.

Crivello won a Tony Award for his featured performance in Kiss of the Spider Woman. His other Broadway credits include Evita, The News, Les Miserables and Marie Christine.

Barrett's Broadway credits include West Side Story, Grand Hotel, Brigadoon, Candide, Annie Get Your Gun and Chicago. His notable regional credits include Princesses.

Boggess appeared in the world premiere of the Broadway-bound musical Princesses. Her other regional theater credits include West Side Story, Pirates of Penzance, Les Miserables and The Boyfriend.

Loyacana recently appeared on the Great White Way in The Woman in White. Her other Broadway credits include Dracula and Oklahoma!.

Batman played Carlotta in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and on tour. Her other credits include A Piece of String, La Traviata, The King and I and Die Zauberflote.

Jeffries was seen as Carlotta in Phantom in San Francisco and as part of the third national touring company of the tuner. She has performed leading operatic roles regionally with such companies as Tulsa Opera, Opera Colorado and Chicago's Light Opera Works.

Gleason is currently making his Broadway debut with The Phantom of the Opera. He also played the role of Raoul on the third national tour. Gleason notably starred in the Signature Theater world premiere of the then Broadway-bound The Rhythm Club.

Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular is set to begin performances in June at the Venetian in Las Vegas. Larry Wayne Morbitt will also be part of the cast, playing Piangi.
