Broadway's Cheyenne Jackson, who enjoyed a four-episode guest arc this season on comedy series 30 Rock, may have a show of his own on the small screen next season. The recent Finian's Rainbow star has signed on to co-star in the new ABC pilot It Takes a Village, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jackson is joined by James Patrick Stuart in a comedy that centers on exes Karen and Howard. The pair, both recoupled since splitting, must work together with their respective new loves to raise their 15-year-old son. Jackson plays the newly out Howard's very first boyfriend, while Karen is paired with Stuart as her handsome new stud.
Jackson's Broadway credits include All Shook Up, Xanadu and Finian's Rainbow. In addition to 30 Rock, his TV credits include Lipstick Jungle, The Mentalist and Ugly Betty. Film credits include Curiosity and United 93.
