Tony Award winner Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza) and Tony-winning music director and orchestrator Ted Sperling (Guys and Dolls, South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza) will make their New York cabaret debut at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency October 20-24. The Vicki and Ted Show celebrates 30 years of friendship and professional collaboration that began when Clark and Sperling were students at Yale.
The Vicki and Ted Show debuted at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theatre and covers their work together in Broadway hits such as How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Titanic and The Light in the Piazza, which won a Best Actress Tony for Clark and a Best Orchestrations Tony for Sperling. In addition to her many Broadway and off-Broadway credits, Clark recently sang with the Sun Valley Symphony Orchestra in a program co-starring Paulo Szot and conducted by Sperling, who served as music director for her PS Classics solo album Fifteen Seconds of Grace. Sperling currently holds the post of Director of the Music Theater Initiative at the Public Theater.
The fall schedule at Feinstein’s also includes an extended engagement by Tony winner Jane Krakowski (October 6-17), an Actors’ Fund benefit performance by Karen Mason (October 4), plus singer/lyricist Amanda Green (November 1) and Broadway vet Eden Espinosa (November 8).
