Broadway veteran Ellen Burstyn won a 1975 Tony and Drama Desk Award for her performance as Doris in the two-person play Same Time, Next Year. A successful film actress, Burstyn won an Oscar for Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore and has been nominated five more times since 1972. She returned to Broadway in 2012 in Picnic.
