Lauren Ward made her Broadway debut in Carousel and has appeared in London productions of Matilda and The Sound of Music. Ward has won a Theatre World Award for her portrayal of the title character in the 1997 off-Broadway musical Violet. She returned to Broadway in spring 2013 to reprise her performance as kindly teacher Miss Honey in Matilda.
