Claim to fame
Known primarily as Shakespearean actor, Mark Rylance served as the first artistic director of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre from 1996-2006. Rylance earned a Tony Award for his debut Broadway performance in Boeing Boeing. He returned to Broadway twice during the 2010-2011 season, in La Bete and Jerusalem, for which he earned his second Tony Award.
