Nikki M. James

Before graduating from NYU, James made her Broadway debut in the short-lived 2001 musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The Elvis-themed musical All Shook Up followed in 2005, as well as stints in off-Broadway's Walmartopia and Bernarda Alba and Caesar and Cleopatra opposite Christopher Plummer at the Stratford Theater Festival. In 2011 James won a Tony Award for bringing a dose of tenderness to the raunchy musical hit The Book of Mormon as kind-hearted African villager Nabulungi.
