Bruce Springsteen Trades Jersey for Broadway at Spring Awakening

The Boss hit Broadway on August 8! That's when rock legend Bruce Springsteen and his family crossed the Hudson from the storied shores of Jersey to take in hit musical Spring Awakening at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. It makes sense Springsteen would be drawn to the lusty production—its music was penned by fellow rocker Duncan Sheik, and its subject matter (love, lust and regret) appears all over Springsteen's numerous albums. After the rock dad and his brood took in fresh-faced performances by Wendla understudy Eryn Murman and Melchior player Matt Doyle (Weeds star Hunter Parish takes over the role fulltime beginning on August 18) from the audience, they headed backstage for a visit with the Spring kids.
