House of Flowers Opens a New Encores! Season

House of Flowers has been on the Encores! upcoming productions list for quite some time. It's easy to see why--the glorious Harold Arlen/Truman Capote score has lived on thanks to an amazing original cast album of the Broadway company, which featured Pearl Bailey. Tony winner Tonya Pinkins took Bailey's role in the Encores! production, which also starred Armelia McQueen, Maurice Hines, Roscoe Lee Browne and young Nikki M. James, under the direction of Kathleen Marshall. Broadway.com stopped by the closing day performance on Sunday, February 16 to bring you this photo op.
