Meet the Company of Kristina, Headed for a Carnegie Hall Concert Debut

Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus met the press in New York on September 16, and the topic was not ABBA or Mamma Mia! (or even Chess). The star composers are in town for a Carnegie Hall concert presentation of Kristina, a musical based on The Emigrants novels about a family’s migration from Sweden to America in the mid-19th century. The concerts, which will be held at the celebrated music venue on September 23 and 24, will feature a cast of 27 led by Swedish star Helen Sjöholm and Mamma Mia!’s original Donna Sheridan, Louise Pitre. Broadway.com enjoyed a meet-and-greet with Andersson, Ulvaeus and their stars during a rehearsal break at New 42nd Street Studios.
