Christina Sajous has parlayed a powerful rock belt and exotic good looks into a busy stage career, jumping from out-of-town gigs in Aida, Rent and The Who’s Tommy to breakout roles on Broadway as The Extraordinary Girl in American Idiot and now Shirley Owens, lead singer of the Shirelles, in Baby It’s You! New York native Sajous recently invited Broadway.com’s Jenny Anderson to photograph a typical day in her life during previews for the new musical, which opens on April 27 at the Broadhurst Theatre.
