On February 16, the cast of Blood Knot became the very first cast to take their official bows at off-Broadway’s new Pershing Square Signature Center. Playwright and director Athol Fugard, who starred in the original version of his show in South Africa in 1961, helms the new production starring Colman Domingo and Scott Shepherd. Blood Knot is the story of two biracial brothers who look very different, but both struggle with isolation and hardship during South African Apartheid. After the performance, the company celebrated at Signature Center’s classy new café to celebrate.
