Hooray for Horton! Dividing the Estate Opens on Broadway

It was truly an opening night to remember, as 92-year-old playwright Horton Foote reveled in the audience’s cheers and applause during the curtain call of Dividing the Estate. The comedy about a greedy small-town family opened on November 20 at the Booth Theatre in a production starring Elizabeth Ashley, Penny Fuller and Gerald McRaney, as well as Foote’s daughter Hallie and son-in-law Devon Abner. But the real star of evening was the playwright himself, who joined first-nighters at a celebration at the Marriott Marquis Hotel after the show. Broadway.com was there too, as usual. Take a look!
