Broadway's Hair Tribe has been sharing the love ever since the Tony-winning revival hit the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in March 2009. The show’s good vibes reached their all-time hairy high on March 7, 2010, however, when the original cast played its final Broadway performance before crossing the pond to take London's West End on April 1 (a new Broadway cast, starring Ace Young, Diana DeGarmo and Kyle Riabko, begins performances on March 9). To say it was a teary final show for a cast would be an understatement—the first tears of the night fell during opening number and kept on coming. By the time show closer “The Flesh Failures/Let the Sun Shine In” began its famous opening strains, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. That’s not to say the final show was a downer—the high-energy hippies worked, mugged and belted their way to six standing ovations in the first act alone! Broadway.com was there to take a few last shots of the cast you’ve come to know and love before they trip out to London.
