The American tribal love-rock musical comes back to Broadway.
It’s the ultimate honor for a Broadway actor, and Hair stars Will Swenson and Gavin Creel got theirs on the same day: a caricature at Sardi’s. The Tony-nominated duo saw their likenesses unveiled in tandem at a ceremony after the September 30 matinee of the hit revival. Joining Swenson and Creel were co-stars (actors from both Hair and Rock of Ages turned out to salute Will!) and friends. Earlier that afternoon, Louise Hirschfeld, widow of master caricaturist Al (namesake of the theater in which Hair is playing!) presented the cast with the Hirschfeld drawing of the show’s original 1968 cast. Wow—click on to see a special art-filled afternoon at Hair!
