About This Gallery

It was SRO at the New York Mets’ sparkling new ballpark, Citi Field, on August 22, as fans gathered for a salute to the 40th anniversary of the team’s first World Series victory. But for Will Swenson, the Tony-nominated star of Hair, there was a more important reason to attend: He'd been tapped to sing the National Anthem! Though the Mets ended up losing 4-1 to the first place Phillies, Swenson and his adorable boys had a heck of a good time—and Broadway.com got a field pass to capture all the excitement especially for you!
