It’s no surprise that Angela Lansbury is a fan of composer Jerry Herman—after all, she won two of her five Tony Awards for starring in his musicals Dear World and Mame. The great Broadway star, who recently ended her Tony-nominated run as Madame Armfeldt in A Little Night Music, decided to check out the show that defeated hers for the 2010 Best Revival statuette: Herman’s La Cage aux Folles. On July 29, Ms. Lansbury took her seat the Longacre Theatre, then went backstage to congratulate Kelsey Grammer, Douglas Hodge and the rest of the cast. Click on to share the happy scene.
