Lea DeLaria, who already enjoyed a career as a Broadway singer and stand-up comedian, made her recording debut on Warner Brothers Records in 2000. Hailed by The Times as "the Best Jazz Album of 2001," Play It Cool confirmed Lea as one of the best jazz singers of our time.
