Anne Rice's suave vampire jumps from the bestseller list to the Broadway stage!
Lestat started taking a bite out of Broadway on March 25, with its first preview performance at the Palace Theatre. The musical, which officially opens on April 25 and boasts the songwriting reunion of Elton John and Bernie Taupin, got a visit on that first Saturday night performance from another legendary rock n' roller, Alice Cooper. While the "School's Out" singer - whose recent Brutal Planet and Dragontown tours were staged by Lestat director, Robert Jess Roth - enjoyed the Anne Rice-based musical with his wife, when the infamously decadent Cooper met the cast backstage, was it all smiles and hugs?
