Sally Ann Triplett will lead a new cast in the West End production of ABBA musical Mamma Mia! beginning June 13. The peppy tuner, which follows the escapades of a young bride searching for the identity of her father, recently celebrated its twelfth anniversary at London’s Prince of Wales Theatre.
Triplett will play Donna Sheridan. Joining her are Joanna Monro as Rosie and Kim Ismay as Tanya. The cast will also feature Dani De Waal as Sophie Sheridan, Craig Fletcher her fiancé Sky, Hannah Fairclough as Ali, Rachel Sargent as Lisa, Warren Sollars as Pepper and Alex Jessop as Eddie. Rounding our the cast will be William Tapley as Sam Carmichael, Oliver Senton as Harry Bright, Mark Gillis as Bill Austin. At certain performances, the role of Donna Sheridan will be played by Melissa Jacques.
Featuring music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, Mamma Mia! is written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast.
