Brides-to-be Lauren Hopkins Sheridan ...
On June 27, the hit musical Mamma Mia! officially became Broadway’s 15th longest running show, surpassing Tobacco Road at 3,183 performances. To celebrate, a group of real-life brides-to-be (selected via radio contests) gathered at the Winter Garden Theatre to see the record-breaking matinee, followed by a meet-and-greet with the stars, plus champagne and cake. Then came the afternoon’s main event: Brandi Burkhardt, who stars as Mamma Mia! bride-to-be Sophie Sheridan, tossed the bouquet, and the lucky lady who caught it, Lauren Hopkins Sheridan (yes, that’s really her last name!) will receive a honeymoon trip to London to see the West End production of the show. Broadway.com joined the party, toasting Mamma Mia! and a bevy of brides.
