Off-Broadway openings are usually low-key affairs, but the star wattage was high on April 4 for the New Group’s revival of Marie and Bruce. After the performance on Theatre Row, Julia Stiles, Matt Dillon, Daphne Rubin-Vega and many more crowded into the Heartland Brewery to congratulate Oscar winner Marisa Tomei and Frank Whaley, the title couple in Wallace Shawn’s 1980 play about a marital meltdown.
