With all of its Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious-ness intact, the reinvented stage adaptation of the classic Mary Poppins officially arrived on Broadway November 16th. Co-produced by Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh and starring Beauty and the Beast's Ashley Brown in the title role and Broadway debuter Gavin Lee (repeating his West End tour de force) as her chimney-scrubbing Bert, Mary Poppins swept into the New Amsterdam Theatre with a dressy opening night crowd that sparkled with such Disney-identified stage stars as Aida's Heather Headley, Sherie Rene Scott and Adam Pascal, as well as Tarzan's Josh Strickland and Beauty and the Beast's current dreamboat, Donny Osmond.
